C3harge provides a forum for member industries to explore common health and safety themes, identify priorities, share key learning points and good practice, and provide strategic direction to health and safety continuous improvement programmes in member organisations. It covers the ceramics, heavy clay (brick, tile and pipe), refractories, glass and glazing, cement and concrete industries.
The primary role of the body is to provide a forum for member industries to promote improved standards of health and safety and the "Revitalising agenda" within the foundries industry.

HSE’s Manufacturing Sector works with the rubber industry through the Tyre and Rubber Industries Safety Action Group (TRISAG), which has replaced the Rubber Industry Advisory Committee (RUBIAC).
The Wood Safety Group (WSG) is comprised of members who represent a cross-section of the woodworking industry and is chaired and run by industry., with HSE participation. The Wood Safety Group (WSG) was created by members of the the previous Wood Action Group (WAG) in 2010 as an improved organisation to advance standards of health, safety and welfare in the woodworking industries.
