Find out the latest top level statistics on work-related ill health, workplace fatalities and injuries, and enforcement in Great Britain.
Why not try HandS-On, a free-to-use service from HSE that allows you to view, manipulate, create and export tables from HSE’s injury and ill health data using a powerful analysis tool. It gives you direct access to the data.
This is a detailed report examining the ports and logistics sector and providing analysis of injury rates and general employment structures (including how these employment structures could potentially affect health and safety standards). This report also provides comparison between the logistics (transportation and storage) sector and other sectors in terms of injury rates and severity.
This report examines the accidents reported in the ports industry over a five-year period from 2006/07 to 2010/11p. The data represents accidents and dangerous occurrences reported to HSE under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) 1995. A further section is included on enforcement activity carried out by HSE in the 3 years to 2010/11p.
In 2009 HSE transferred to a new industrial classification system (SIC 2007 from SIC 2003). The enclosed tables provide 2010/11p figures and a back series of data under SIC 2007. Please note that the back series (before 2010/11p) has been mapped back and the figures provided for 2005/06 – 2009/10 are considered to be an estimate.
Further statistics are available under the old SIC 2003 codes – if you require further information then please contact us at: logistics@hse.gsi.gov.uk
