Health and safety newsletter for local authorities

Editorial

Welcome to the October edition of the newsletter. Over the next few months you should be seeing a few changes to the way that we update you on local authority regulatory health and safety issues. We are moving over to a web-based approach with more succinct news updates and items for action/information.

The new approach will provide more up to date information on all the major issues that affect you and will be part of the suite of work to improve the Partnership communications and website. The new format will enable you to search for specific topics and will be updated frequently. As they say, ‘A New Year, a New Start’. As always, we would welcome your thoughts on these new approaches as they evolve in the New Year.

We also say a couple of goodbyes to two members of the Partnership Teams this month. Tony and Jane Bride have returned to their local authorities following their very successful stint as Partnership Liaison Officers for London and the South East/East respectively. They have both made an excellent contribution to helping take forward the Partnership. We look forward to seeing many of you at the LA/HSE Partnership Conference in Manchester.

As always, we very much value your thoughts on how the Partnership can be improved together with any initiatives of good practice you would like to share.
