Editorial

Welcome to the final edition of the LAU Newsletter in its present form. From December, 'Partnership News' will replace the Newsletter as live updates on HSE's Local Authority Unit web pages. This will enable you to access new articles immediately keeping you more informed. Access all of this month's articles in this new format and get an idea of how future articles will look.

The new Partnership News format will also mean the end of the Newsletter editorial. I would like to express my thanks to everyone who has contributed to the Newsletter and made it such a success. I particularly want to thank Tracy Hamilton who (and will continue to) manage and coordinate all the articles, distribution, etc.  It is pleasing to see so many local authority initiatives in this edition.  This is evidence of the strength of the Partnership and I hope that you will continue to inform us of your excellent work to improve health and safety standards.
