Road Distribution Action Group

The Road Distribution Action Group started up in 2002. The group is a partnership between employer groups, trade unions and regulators. The aim of the group is to improve health and safety at work and reduce accidents and ill health in the road haulage and distribution industry by effective liaison between enforcing authorities, employer and employee representatives and others with relevant knowledge and expertise on matters affecting the industry.

RDAG working groups

Five working groups have been set up by the main RDAG group.  These working groups aim to identify ways to reduce injuries in the haulage and distribution industry.

  1. Fatigue
  2. Preventing falling loads
  3. Slips and trips
  4. Manual handling
  5. Falls from vehicles
