The document: ‘Training standard for delivery of emergency first aid at work courses for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 – A guide for awarding bodies (WEB46)’ has been made available on HSE’s website.
It sets out the training standard that must be applied by Awarding Bodies in offering an accredited emergency first aid at work (EFAW) qualification for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. The standard is based on HSE guidance in: ‘First-aid training and qualifications for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 – A guide for training organisations (WEB41) ’.
Details of Awarding Bodies offering an accredited qualification in EFAW can be obtained by consulting the National Database of Accredited Qualifications.
