Explosives
This page gives details of the fees chargeable under the Health and Safety (Fees) Regulations 2008 for licences and registrations under the Manufacture and Storage of Explosives Regulations 2005 and an explosives certificate under the Control of Explosives Regulations 1991.
These fees are applicable from 6th April 2008. The Health and Safety (Fees) Regulations 2008 SI 2008 No 736 [138KB] 
can be viewed on the Office of Public Sector Information website.
These fees are payable for licences granted by HSE - except licences for storage at mines and in harbour areas.

No VAT is payable on these fees.
These fees also apply to licences and registrations granted by HSE at mines and in harbour areas.

Please note that the time-limited fees given above are for whole years. Fees for parts of a year would be on a pro-rata basis. For example:
No VAT is payable on these fees.
A fee is payable for an explosive certificate where the applicant also holds a licence or registration under the Manufacture and Storage of Explosives Regulations 2005. In other cases no fee is charged.

No VAT is payable on these fees.
This fee is payable for application for approval of classification of an explosive, under the Classification and Labelling of Explosives Regulations, 1983.
