Our toolkit is a questionnaire that helps us to understand how much you know about health and safety, and the actions you have taken to control any risks on site. It is not a test; it’s a guide to identify tools you could use to manage safety you may not be aware of.
The visiting staff will spend time with you going through the tool. Depending on the size of the business, you look at 4 or 6 of topics below. The topics you will choose with the Visiting Officer’s guidance must be the most relevant risk to your business.
Once you have decided on the topics and worked through the KIT tool with your EE advisor, they will give you an indication of your level of knowledge and risk control. They will then direct you to suitable training courses to increase your knowledge.
