About Estates Excellence

Estates Excellence is working with a wide range of partners to help business owners and landlords to improve health and safety on their sites. To do this we will:

• visit businesses to identify knowledge gaps
• provide training and guidance on site
• set up support networks and communities to bring businesses together.

We are focusing on support visits, not traditional inspection visits.

Estates Excellence is part of our response to the HSE strategy document The Health and Safety of Great Britain, published in June 2009.

Estates Excellence was piloted in six locations across the south east of England during 2009-11 and was launched on a national basis in 2012.
