HSE accident statistics for the water transport industry and cargo handling

The following data is from reported accidents and ill-health as required by the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR). The data is based upon reports from those industries given the Standard Industry Classification (SIC) codes of:

Data from SIC code 63110 (Cargo Handling) is provided separately as the code relates to the unloading and loading of goods or passengers’ luggage irrespective of the mode of transport. Whilst the code will include such activities as stevedoring, it also includes activities such as baggage handling onto aircraft.
