Consultation on guidance to the amended COMAH regulations

The Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations were introduced in 1999 but are to be amended in the middle of next year (a consultation exercise over the proposed changes ended recently).

The associated guidance to the regulations is being revised to take account of these amendments and the opportunity is being taken to update the whole guidance (A Guide to the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations 1999 - L111).

It is intended to publish the revised guidance when the amended regulations come in to force - currently anticipated to be 1 July 2005.
