The consultation will seek views on the details of the process and in particular:

Update: response to the consultation - August 2017

Following a public consultation, HSE has launched a revised process for considering disputes of invoices issued under the fee for intervention scheme. This will involve all disputes being considered by a panel which is completely independent of HSE. The panel will consist of a lawyer as chair together with two other members who have practical experience of management of health and safety. The revised process also provides greater clarity about the information which HSE will give to businesses to allow them to make appropriate representations to the dispute panel. Revised guidance on the process has been published together with revised web pages on fee for intervention.
