This consultation sets out proposals for a National Local Authority Enforcement Code (the Code). The Code has been developed in response to the Professor Ragnar Löfstedt report "Reclaiming health & safety for all: An independent review of health and safety legislation" commissioned by the Minister for Employment which recommended that HSE be given a stronger role in directing Local Authority's health & safety inspection and enforcement activity.
The consultation seeks views on the draft Code presented. Questions can be found on pages 18 and 19.
