CD234 - Proposals to implement the third list of indicative occupational exposure limit values (Commission directive 2009/161/EU)

This Consultative Document sets out the proposal from HSE to implement the European Commission's 3rd Indicative Occupational Exposure Limit Values (IOELV) Directive (2001/161/EU) through the national system of Worker Exposure Limits (WELs). The proposed limits for 19 substances are based on recommendations by the European Commission’s Scientific Committee on Occupational Exposure Limits (SCOEL), which has considered the scientific information available on each substance. The limits proposed by SCOEL have all been subject to six-month EU-wide public consultation.

Please note that this consultation document has been amended in July 2011 on pages  10 - 12 due to an erratum identified for methyl isocyanate (CAS 624-83-9).
