We have reviewed our existing race equality scheme and following this have developed a new agenda for action. This document sets out in full how we will meet the duties to promote race equality as a public body and as an employer. We would like comments from our external stakeholders on the priorities which impact on our interface with them as regulators. In particular those priorities set out at pages 7 and 8 under the heading “for everyone” and the race action plan priorities, actions 1 – 5 at Annex 1.
We will consult and invite comments from our staff and our Trade Unions, in particular on the priorities for our staff set out at pages 8 -9 under the heading “for our staff” and race action plan priorities, actions 6 -11 at Annex 1.
To reflect the Health and Safety Executive's approach to diversity, our race equality scheme has been incorporated into an overarching framework. We outline:
