The CDM 2007 Regulations will be supported by an Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) "Managing Health and Safety in Construction", (ISBN 9780717662234).
The ACoP was published on 27 February 2007, priced at £15 (but will not come into force until 6 April 2007). The ACoP is available through HSE Books

The CDM 2007 Regulations were laid before Parliament on 15 February 2007 and are expected to come into force as planned on 6 April 2007.  They are available on the Office of Public Sector Information website (See No 320.)

24 October 2006

The Health and Safety Commission (HSC) met on 17 October 2006 and approved the Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) regulatory package.

The CDM regulatory package consists of:

• The revised Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM)
• The Approved Code of Practice (AcoP)
• The Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIoA)

What happens next?

• The CDM 2007 Regulations are expected to come into force as planned on 6 April 2007
• HSE, together with stakeholders, continues to develop the launch arrangements for the Regulations
• CONIAC’s CDM Guidance Working Group meets regularly to co-ordinate production of the industry-produced guidance. It is hoped to have the guidance available early in the New Year.
