- Work at height building maintenance video [mpeg, 36mb] For those involved in working at height who carry out building and plant maintenance activities. It aims to make you aware of the steps that should be taken to ensure the work is carried out safely and to demonstrate a number of different types of access equipment in use.
- Watch Your Step: a toolbox talk for construction [DVD or mpeg (28mb), 5 mins] case studies including an injured person's story and two construction contractors managing good order issues on site.
- Time to clear the air! Using cut-off saws for cutting kerbs and flag paving [mpeg, 23.3mb]
- Work Smart videos: 25 short case studies from real people who suffered accident or illness.
- Kidsafe: [DVD, 56 minutes] A compilation of child safety training films. Films to help teachers and pupils in first schools, parents, construction companies wishing to highlight specific dangers to youngsters when carrying out work near schools. 'Game Over' shows the risks of playing on construction sites and 'Work Smart' stories where children themselves describe the dangers associated with construction sites, farms, railways and climbing on roofs. It has English and Welsh subtitles.
Construction health and safety DVDs
A series of DVDs have been produced by the construction industry - including input from RIBA, Constructing Excellence, Construction Confederation, IOSH and HSE. They are aimed at architects (including trainees) and other construction professionals. The DVDs are endorsed by RIBA and can count towards your yearly CPD quota.
