HSE and the cleaning industry

HSE is working in partnership with the cleaning industry through the Cleaning Industry Liaison Forum (CILF). The Forum comprises of representatives from industry trade associations, trade unions and key industry stakeholders.

The CILF have agreed a priority plan of work aimed at improving health and safety and tackling the main risk areas for cleaning workers

• Musculoskeletal disorders
• Prevention of slips and trips
• Prevention of falls from height
• Dermatitis
