The above chart shows that in 2010/2011 the main causes of major injury to cleaners were slips and trips accounting for almost 400 injuries. Falls, handling and being hit by moving or falling objects caused almost another 200 injuries, with all other causes attributing about another 150 major injuries.

Over-three-day injuries to cleaners 2010/2011p

The above chart shows that in 2010/2011 the main cause of over-three-day injuries to cleaners was manual handling with nearly 1000 reported incidents. Slips and trips were second with just under 800. Hit by moving or falling object, hitting an object and low falls accounted for just over 600 incidents, with all other incidents accounting for almost 400 over-three-day injuries.
