Health and safety at work: Best practice and partnerships
Wednesday 17 June 2009, 28 Portland Place, London.
The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) will bring together experts in its field, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about some recent health and safety projects, including:
- workplace violence;
- industrial estates;
- care homes;
- flexible warrants; and
- work experience students.
The conference will focus on issues such as:
- practical partnerships and how local authorities can work with other enforcing organisations;
- an update on the Slips, Trips and Falls Report 2008;
- stress at work including a talk from David Palferman, Senior Occupational Psychologist from HSE on Stress at work – The hidden problem;
- a talk by Alison Wellens from HSE on Shattered lives, Slips trips and falls and Practical ways to improve the situation; and
- a talk by Mike Gibb from HSE and Jane Bride from EHO Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire local authorities on Working Together – Practical success on industrial estates.
Judith Hackitt, Chair of the Health and Safety Executive will also be present.
