9 -15 June: focusing on men's health at work
Too many men suffer unnecessarily poor health and die too young from preventable causes. As organisers of National Men’s Health Week 2008, the Men’s Health Forum’s mission is to provide an independent and authoritative voice for male health and to tackle the issues affecting the health and well-being of boys and men in England and Wales.
HSE supports this year's theme, focusing on men's health in the workplace. The aim is to improve the health of men by encouraging them to take advantage of occupational health initiatives available in their workplaces and by helping employers strengthen and expand such iniatives. This will result in boosts to workplace morale and a decrease in sickness absence, both of which are invaluable to employers and employees alike.
