Free - Key Health Risks In Fabricated Metals SHAD
Dryden Centre, Gateshead - 10 December 2008.
Interventions carried out by the HSE within the fabricated metals industry have highlighted a number of key health risk areas.
As a result HSE has organised a free Safety, Health Awareness Day for employers within the fabricated metals industry to raise awareness of the key health risks associated with the industry:
- Health risks from welding fumes
- Hand Arm Vibration (Vibration White Finger)
- Noise induced hearing loss
- Effective management and health surveillance
Those who attend will have the opportunity to ask questions relating to these issues. Inspectors will also be present to answer any other questions relating to health and safety within your industry.
The half-day event will be broken down into short presentations covering the above topics. Registration will commence at 8.45am with sessions running from 9.30am – 1.00pm. There will be refreshments provided along with a bacon roll.
