HSE originally invited training providers to pledge free hours of asbestos awareness training with a target of reaching 4,000 hours.
It soon became clear that the training providers were so keen to help promote the importance of asbestos awareness training that we were likely to significantly exceed this target!
We therefore decided to have two targets – one of 4,000 hours for classroom based training and one of 4,000 hours for e-learning.
We have received a grand total of 7987 hours of classroom based training and 5570 hours of e-learning training.
This represented a pledge to deliver free asbestos awareness training for approximately
