Disclaimer

HSE is not responsible for and cannot guarantee the accuracy of information on websites that it does not manage; nor should the inclusion of a hyperlink on the HSE website be taken as endorsement by the HSE of the site to which it points.

The training courses offered have not been independently audited by HSE and their full compliance with all legal duties under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 cannot be guaranteed.

It is the responsibility of those taking up the training to make sure it is provided by someone who is competent to do so, who has had adequate personal practical experience and who has a theoretical knowledge of all relevant aspects of the work being carried out by the employer.

Asbestos awareness training courses aim to help tradespeople who may disturb asbestos whilst carrying out their normal everyday work. The awareness training will help tradespeople to recognise asbestos, understand the dangers it presents and steps that can be taken to protect against those dangers. Asbestos awareness training does not equip tradespeople to work with asbestos. Persons carrying out work that will knowingly disturb asbestos need job-specific, non-licensable asbestos work training as a minimum.

HSE does not endorse any products or services from companies involved with this initiative.
