Agricultural shows

Agricultural shows

The Agriculture & Food Sector is committed to using the optimum mix of communication channels which reflect the culture and needs of its industries.

Participation at agricultural, forestry and arboricultural shows, technical events and exhibitions is a long established and proven means of reaching the diverse and disperse audience in this industry.

The national agricultural shows in England, Scotland and Wales and other major technical events are an integral part of the calendar for farmers and others in the land-based sector.

SHADs

Farming Safety & Health Awareness Days (SHADs) are based on practical demonstrations by experienced industry trainers, illustrating basic cost-effective precautions to avoid the most common causes of injury and ill health in farming.

Forestry Safety and Health Awareness Days have been developed in partnership with the industry to reflect the type of forestry work taking place and the situations that have led to serious and even fatal accidents.
