Power lines - Other case studies

A farm worker died after his combine harvester touched an overhead power line. The combine had picked up debris directly underneath the power line. He left the vehicle cab to remove soil with the auger spout in a raised position and was electrocuted.

A farm worker was electrocuted as he drove a tractor with a raised trailer across a field. The trailer touched the conductor of an overhead power line, causing fatal electrocution and burn injuries.
