Small Business Trade Association Forum

The Small Business Trade Association Forum is chaired by Frances Outram, one of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Board’s non-executive members. It comprises representatives of Trade Associations and peak organisations that represent small businesses.

The Forum exists to:

  • make sure that the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) hears the concerns of small business;
  • improve the way HSE communicates with small business;
  • consult small business on new initiatives and proposed changes in health and safety law.

The SBTAF Forum also has an online web community. This is restricted to members of the SBTAF but it may be possible for new members to join. The community provides an environment for SBTAF members to access meeting papers and minutes, to share information and to discuss issues of interest or concern. It aims to facilitate communication with and between members of the SBTAF outside their regular, formal meetings.
