About HSE
Following a successful workshop held recently by the HSC's Agricultural Industry Advisory Committee's Transport Group (in association with the Department for Transport (DfT)), this Conference has been organised for designers, manufacturers, importers and suppliers of tractors, trailers and other trailed equipment for farming, forestry and related industries. It will also be relevant to farmers, growers, contractors and others associated with the industry or using 'agricultural' equipment in other industry sectors, working on and off-road.
The Conference has been convened by the Institution of Agricultural Engineers (IAgrE), in conjunction with HSE's Agriculture & Food Sector, DfT, the AEA (Agricultural Engineers Association - representing manufacturers/importers), and BAGMA (the British Agricultural and Garden Machinery Association - representing the machinery suppliers/dealer network).
Speakers will cover new legislation and findings of recent research on tractor-trailer braking systems and consider the implications for new and existing equipment. Accidents on and off-road, research on the roadworthiness of agricultural vehicles, and other issues including vehicle maintenance, licensing and use requirements will also be reviewed.
