This guidance has been developed by the Worker Involvement Subcommittee and endorsed by the QNJAC (Oct 2005).

This guidance is based on the “Health Surveillance Guide” produced by a working party of the QNJAC and published on their behalf by the QPA in 1998. The revised document has been expanded to encompass the broader issues of Occupational Health Management. Companies with existing Occupational Health programmes can use the guide as a benchmark of current best practice.

Safe driving - sheeting & unsheeting of tipper lorries
Every year, about 70 people are killed and 2,500 seriously injured as a result of accidents involving vehicles in and around workplaces. 44% of falls from tipper lorries occur during sheeting and unsheeting.

Toolkit developed by the British Ceramics Confederation for their members but is equally applicable to other industries.
