Interdepartmental Liaison Group on Risk Assessment

Mission Statement

To help secure coherence and consistency within and between policy and practice in risk assessment as undertaken by Government, and help disseminate and advance good practice.

Terms Of Reference

To exchange information on the current and future policy and practices of Government on risk assessment.

To provide a forum for discussing how greater coherence and consistency of approach on risk assessment can be achieved by Government.

To provide a network for considering the policy and practical implications of other national and international initiatives in the field of risk assessment.

To provide a forum for the development of advice on technical and policy aspects of risk assessment.

To report periodically to Ministers on the progress made towards achieving greater coherence and consistency of approach and to advise on future activities.
