UK - ILGRA's Interdepartmental Group on Health Risks from Chemicals (IGHRC) Sub-Group
ILGRA's Interdepartmental Group on Health Risks from Chemicals (IGHRC) Sub-Group aims to stimulate the development of new improved approaches to the assessment of risks to human health from chemicals.
The IGHRC comprises representatives of UK government, departments, research councils and agencies. It's chair is from the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food, with the Institute for Environment and Health providing the Scientific Secretariat.
IGHRC have examined the recommendations of the earlier Risk Assessment and Toxicology Steering Committee (see below reports) and will publish a strategy document, late in 2000, to reflect its remit and its October 1999 to September 2002 work programme.
