- reviewed progress with the legislative renewal

- noted trends in accidents and ill health in the
coal mining industry
- considered the relocation of the Ashby Mines Rescue
Station to Rawdon
- reviewed the situation in respect of HSE Approval
of mining equipment and specifications
- received updates from the Fire Detection WG and the
Support WG and reviewed the Falls of Ground Annual Report
- noted the dates of future meetings for 2004.
