The Committee:
- welcomed Mr Bill Callaghan, chair of HSC to the meeting;
- noted progress on the review of legislative packages, in particular the development of a 3 year programme;
- noted Mines Rescue Service staffing levels and service
- noted the trends in accidents and ill health in the coal mining industry;
- considered the research work carried out in assessment of Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome;
- received a presentation on "Securing Health Together"
