The Committee:

  1. welcomed Rev Dr John Roden as the "Public Interest" member of the DMCIAC;
  2. noted progress on the review of legislative packages, in particular the Respirable Dust Regulations;
  3. noted the review of the HSC's Advisory Committees; iv) noted the trends in accidents in the coal mining industry;
  4. considered questions arising from the connection of existing electrical equipment to equipment complying with the ATEX directive;
  5. noted future meetings would be held on:-
