Kerr Wilson

Kerr Wilson is the Chief Executive of the Pesticides Safety Directorate which transferred from Defra to HSE on 1 April 2008.

After spending six years at the University of Wales, Cardiff, he began work as a research biochemist with Glaxo Group. Three years later he joined HSE’s Research and Laboratory Services Division. After a short spell in Nuclear Safety Policy he moved to the Health and Safety Laboratory in Sheffield. 

During this time Kerr was seconded to the Cabinet Office for 2 years and after returning to HSL joined PSD in York in April 2000 as Chief Executive.
