Sally Sykes

Sally Sykes joined HSE as Director of Communications in December 2008 from DePuy International $5billion subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. There, Sally was responsible for a team of 25 people operating across four sites and a global remit to manage communications across all non-US markets, including Europe, Middle East and Africa, Japan, Asia Pacific and Australia.

Sally has also held senior communications and public affairs positions with Astra Zeneca, Ciba-Geigy, Scottish & Newcastle, Littlewoods and Manchester Airport. She is also Board Member of Business in the Community North West, which aims to link businesses with community and voluntary organisations for mutual benefit.

In 2006, industry magazine 'PR Week' rated Sally as one of the 50 most influential UK PR practitioners and was also appointed to National Executive and Board - Chartered Institute for Public Relations, where she is Treasurer.
