Professor Richard Taylor

Professor Richard Taylor has had a lengthy career in health and safety – including nuclear safety - both in industry and academia. He is now a risk management consultant, and a visiting Professor at both City University and the University of Bristol, following a 20 year career (1986-2005) in which he occupied a range of senior safety management positions with CEGB, Nuclear Electric plc, and Magnox Electric plc, finishing a Corporate Head of Environment, Health and Safety at BNFL plc.

I currently have three contracts with nuclear and petrochemical companies. I occasionally do consultancy work for larger consultancy companies on an ad hoc basis in the same general areas. I am a visiting professor at City University (School of Engineering) and the University of Bristol (School of Engineering).
