Frances was appointed to the Board of the Health & Safety Executive in October 2010 for a period of three years. She is Chair of the Small Business Trade Association Forum.
Her wide ranging career in the private sector has spanned a number of different industries with the last 20 years primarily spent in HR Director positions with Forte Hotels, the Portman Building Society and the SHL Group, where she ended her private sector career in 2007.
Frances has held public sector NED positions since 2000 and was previously a Non Executive Director with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) and the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where she was Vice Chair and Senior Independent Director. She was a Non Executive a Director with Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust and has remained with the Trust in the role of a Mental Health Manager Associate. She is a Lay Advisor to the NHS Wessex Deanery.
