Nick was, until July 2002, the Chief Executive of Powergen, having joined the firm in 1989 and having held a series of board-level and senior management positions.
Prior to taking up the role of Interim Chair of ONR (2011 - 2014), he was a non-executive director of Scottish and Southern Energy and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority. On 1 April 2014, ONR vested as a Public Corporation and Nick was appointed as its Chair for 5 years; Nick will continue to represent ONR on the HSE Board.
Nick is also a Vice Chair of the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership Board and a member of the Energy and Utility Forum Advisory Board.
He is a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Director, a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, a Fellow of the Energy Institute and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.
