Petzl have announced the recall of 2 types of new karabiners which have been on sale since February 2006. The recall is because of defects with a new metal sleeve on the Am'D Ball-Lock (M34 BL) and the William Ball-Lock (M36 BL) which replaced the older nylon sleeve.
