An all too common occurrence is that of an abseiler descending out of control. In one case a video showed that the abseilers (adults) were simply trying to see how fast they could go, and lost control.
It may be advisable to remind (enthusiastic) abseilers that 'braking' and 'stopping' whilst abseiling are different things and that the difference (as when driving a car) is more noticeable at speed.
