The Steering Committee for the Competent Authority comprises representatives of the four responsible authorities for REACH in the UK, and other Government Departments with a significant interest in the implementation of REACH.
It provides the mechanism to agree the policies to be put forward in EU REACH-related business by the UK representatives and by which they will advise, support and hold to account the Competent Authority in delivery if its functions.
Minutes of meetings are made available on this web page once agreed, providing an account of the business of the Committee. Meetings of the Committee are not open to non-members unless by invitation, and agenda and papers are not made public as a matter of course.
