Your first point of contact with HSE

For general information and enquiries, please contact HSE's Infoline (0845 345 0055). Infoline is a ‘one-stop’ shop for fast rapid access to a wealth of health and safety information, expert advice and guidance.

For enquiries relating to premises inspected by local authorities (LAs) e.g. offices, shops, leisure industry, etc please contact your nearest LA.

If you work for a local authority

General enquiries eg enforcement allocation questions or guidance issued to LAs eg LACs, should be directed to HSE's Enforcement Liaison Officer network at the relevant HSE regional office. If the ELO is unavailable and it's urgent please contact the central Enforcement Liaison Officer section based in HSE's Commercial and Consumer Services Transportation and Utilities Sector (0141 275 3017).
