- Ill Health: 124 000 people suffered from work-related illness, a rate of 3 800 per 100 000 people working in the past 12 months (LFS).
- Injuries: There were 14 006 reported injuries to employees, a 5.8% decrease from the previous year (RIDDOR).
- Injury rates: Total rate of reported injury fell to 496.8 per 100 000 employees, compared with a five year average of 566.3 (RIDDOR).
- Working days lost: 3.3 million working days were lost due to workplace injury and ill health, 1.3 days per worker (LFS).
- Enforcement: HSE inspectors issued 1 896 notices and prosecuted 97 cases, 89 of which led to a conviction.
