Section 18 Standard toolkit - Element 6

To meet the Standard, every enforcing authority (EA) should have in place:

  • systems for appointing and authorising suitably qualified inspectors under Section 19 of HSW Act;
  • required standards of competence that include core regulatory skills; and
  • arrangements to attain and maintain competence.
