Who is this site for ?

This site is for anybody who may have a role in educational visits, particularly those involving adventure activities. For example, governors, head teachers, teachers/leaders, local education authorities, and parents/children. It is also relevant to youth organisations, their trustees, managers and leaders.

It deals mainly with the management of visits. It does not give detailed technical advice on particular activities. However, we have provided many links to other organisations and their guidance which should help most people find the information they want.

Although the incident involved a school visit, there is information on this site relevant to anybody who is involved in educational visits or adventure activities in either a professional or voluntary capacity.
