31 January - ONR publishes Quarterly News

ONR has published Quarterly News, our third quarterly news update, as part of efforts to carry out our work with greater openness and transparency. It reflects key developments in each of our regulatory programmes and highlights the ongoing corporate changes at ONR as we progress towards becoming an independent statutory corporation.

19 January - ONR to meet the public at Sizewell on 15 February

ONR will be holding a forum for communities neighbouring Sizewell A and B to hear from inspectors with responsibility for regulating safety at the nuclear power plants.

4 January - UK nuclear power station 'stress test' report published

Safety reassessments undertaken at UK nuclear power stations in the light of events at Fukushima Dai-ichi have revealed no fundamental weaknesses, but lessons have been learnt and safety enhancements made.
