The HSE and the Environment Agency have published a number of technical assessment reports on the AECL ACR-1000 and the GE-Hitachi ESBWR following the conclusion of the initial stage of the assessment process for new nuclear power station designs (completed in March 2008). These designs are not currently being assessed by the regulators.
These reports have not been written for members of the public. They are internal HSE reports that are published on this web site in the interests of openness. They underpin the main assessment reports which have been written for a more general audience.
