LAPS - How does the scheme operate?
Long description of the process flow for the LAPS scheme
The LAPS scheme joins local authorities with so called "Partner Organizations". A "Partner Organization" can be a company, trade, charitable or other association.
The following steps are taken:
- Initial meeting & document review
- Agree evaluation programme
- Sign agreement (Strongly reccommended)
- Liason between lead authority & partner organisations & others LAs
- Safety Management Review - full Health and Safety to target a specific issue.
This step (4) and the previous step (5) may be repeated a number of times in a round robin fashion. - SMR Report
- Organisation's response or action plan
- Information posted on a secure internet site
