In order to minimise disruption, this work will commence on Saturday 21st January 2012 between 09:00 and 17:00 and may continue on Sunday 22nd January 09:00 and 17:00.
During this period access to the HELA Extranet homepage may be disrupted.
Following a well-received and successful term, the HELA Training Co-ord Site has led to a new, improved, secure website for Health and Safety enforcing authorities and their officers: The HELA Extranet (or HELex for short).
HELex has been jointly developed by HSE with LA and LACoRS partners, and was launched on 30 September 2005, we are working towards making it a portal to the HSE website, LACoRS and soon HSEs own 'intranet'. It retains the functions of the HELA Training Coordination website, but has the added benefit of being a more secure 'virtual' environment, where HSE and LAs enforcement officers can communicate with one another by uploading, downloading and exchanging relevant information and data.
The core services it offers include:
HELex develops based on feedback from its users and in particular LA needs as raised by the HELex User Forum, the core services above will be expanded and added to, ensuring that enforcement officers needs continue to be met.
Alternatively if you have information, campaign or training material to share with your LA colleagues then please upload it to the HELA Extranet.
The site is very much about sharing of information within and across all Health & Safety Enforcing Authorities.
Whether you are a team member, a line manager, senior manager or Elected Member, please take a look at the HELex and what it can offer you; and don't forget to encourage your colleagues and team members to use and upload to the site as well.
